Pregnancy Testing
Wondering whether or not you may be pregnant?
Unplanned pregnancy can bring feelings of dread, anxiety, stress or excitement, and we know that being pregnant isn’t always in your plan.
The most common signs and symptoms of pregnancy include:
-
Missed period
-
Unusual or abnormal period
-
Nausea and/or vomiting
-
Breast tenderness
-
Frequent urination
-
Mood swings/changes
-
Fatigue
To verify your pregnancy, it’s important to get a lab-quality pregnancy urine (hCG) test. A urine pregnancy test measures the levels of hCG, which is a hormone that is secreted when you are pregnant.
Gateway Express Testing provides lab-quality testing by qualified healthcare professionals at no cost to you.

Ultrasound/Sonography
Limited Ultrasounds
While urine hCG tests are highly accurate, they aren't perfect. A limited OB ultrasound may be offered:
-
to confirm a viable pregnancy,
-
identify that it is safely located in the uterus, and
-
assess with more accuracy how far along the pregnancy is.
Gateway Express Testing can offer a limited OB ultrasound to give you the important medical information you need.
For our female with a potive hCG test, we offer a limited obstetrical ultrasound. If we are unable to confirm intrauterine pregnancy at the first ultrasound, we will offer a repeat ultrasound in one to two weeks.

Gonorrhea and Chlamydia testing and treatment
When abortion is an option you are considering, our services can help you in your decision. Our medical grade HCG urine pregnancy test can confirm your pregnancy, and a limited OB ultrasound can determine if your pregnancy is viable while also giving you vital information on your pregnancy’s development. This is important information to have when reviewing the abortion options available to you.
According to the Department of Health and Human Services, having gonorrhea, chlamydia or bacterial vaginosis can increase a woman’s chance of having an infection after an abortion procedure. This is important because more than one million pregnant woman are annually diagnosed with a sexually transmitted infection.
Before scheduling an abortion procedure, make sure you confirm your pregnancy through a medical grade HCG urine test, receive an ultrasound to determine pregnancy development, and are tested for any infections that may affect your health. Gateway Express Testing provides sexually transmitted disease testing and treatment at no cost to the pregnant woman.
At our clinics, gonorrhea and chlamydia testing can be performed on the same urine sample that you provide for your pregnancy test. If you test positive for one of these infections, treatment is available to you. Testing and treatment appointments are also available for your sexual partner.

Some common symptoms of STIs include unusual odor, discharge from the vagina or penis, burning during urination and sores on the genitals. However, many STIs do not cause any symptoms and it is possible to spread these diseases and infections without ever having symptoms.
